I do not do this for a job. I do this because I have a passion for plants and gardening. My Mother loved her flower gardens and so have I since I can remember. . Every flower was so different, so unique, so intriguing, so beautiful. Now after 25 years of designing and maintaining gardens, along with a 2 acre garden at our home, I can't imagine doing anything else. Let Beth Burrell and Giving Tree help you Plan, Plant & Enjoy!
There are new companies everyday that begin marketing and selling their services. Some are owned by corporations , some have no true knowledge of the skill it takes to design, maintain and lovingly care for the land, many do not have any type of professional education, just a truck and a sign "we do it all" Giving Tree is privately owned and operated by myself, and a friendly knowledgeable family and staff .
When you call you will talk to me, I am their from start to finish, I believe in being hands on, and enjoy building a personal relationship with each of my clients.

We give your garden the proper care, at the right time during each season, to look and perform its best.
We are your "helping hands" to maintain your gardens and grounds on a regular basis, while out of town, on vacation, or planning a special event.
Let our team take the stress away, we can get your landscape ready , revitized and radiant.
With years of experience, we can create a plan in advance to assist homeowners in organizing & creating new, memerable gardens to be viewed by the hundreds of visitors that will be touring during Virginia Garden Week. A landscape not only for the event, but that can be enjoyed for years to come.
Keeping your yard and landscape maintained is one of the most important things you can do when selling your home. Studies have shown that curb appeal can increase the value of a home by 4 to 5 percent and 50% of buyers base their decision within the first minute of seeing your home.
First impressions count not only for buyers but for appraisers and real estate agents as well. Invest in some quality landscaping to make your property eye-catching to those passing by . We will work with you, realtor, and contractors to give the exterior of your home a fresh look and set it apart from the competition.
Just a few hours of our time can set the wheels in motion for a memorable impression without great expense.
Organic gardening is getting increasingly popular as people realize the dangers of long-term chemical poisoning from eating vegetables laced with pesticides, insecticides and fungicides. An organic garden means to grow without the use of any synthetic substance whether in the form of chemicals to control weeds, pests, diseases or chemicals to enhance growth such as fertilizers.
Simple and creative planing can mean having fresh vegetables to pick at home, with low maintenace upkeep.
Raised garden beds, Containers, Vertical elements, or mixing vegetables ornamentally into the landscape are many of the possibilities that can be implemented. Lettuce, Kale, Spinach, Carrots and Beets can be grown in containers on a patio. Beans, Peas, and Cucumbers on decorative trellis, and raised beds with succession plantings can mean fresh produce from March - November.
Herbs can be a beautiful addition to your garden. Not only are they attractive, they lend a lovely fragrance to your yard. And of course they're useful, both for adding flavor to your cooking and for their therapeutic benefits.
Creating a successful Herb Garden starts with a special soil mixture similar to the Mediterranean where so many of our herbs originate. From Containers to a special garden niche, an Herb Garden can be an edible and ornamental focal part of the landscape
